About Margaret

Margaret Lawson holds a B.S. Degree from Samford University.
She was Founder and Director of the Macrobiotic Center of Dallas
from 1983-1999. In addition, she owned and operated several macrobiotic
facilities in Dallas: Macro Gourmet Restaurant, Macro Café, and
Natural Foods Cooking School.

Margaret organized and hosted the Kushi Institute Extension Study
Program in Dallas in 1989-1990 with a graduating class of 30.

Currently, Margaret operates a Macrobiotic Bed & Breakfast located
about one hour north of Dallas near Lake Texoma, where she teaches
cooking classes and does private counseling.

She is author of two cookbooks – Naturally Healthy Gourmet Cookbook
and Macro Café Cookbook.
